Alayna, Me, Aunt Sharon, & Grandma Bivens went to see the Sound of Music at the Wichita Theater last Saturday. It was a great performance! Alayna has loved the video since she saw it a while back. Although they stayed pretty true to the story there were a few discrepancies. The first major one was very early in the show. They had Maria singing "My Favorite Things" in the abbey with the Mother Abbess. I knew this was not going to sit well with Alayna who pays much attention to details. Sure enough she looked at me and said "Mom we need to let them borrow our video so they'll know how the parts go". It also concerned her that Maria didn't look quite like "Maria". Over all we did enjoy the show very much and look forward to attending more in the future.

Alayna, The Sound of Music is one of my favorites also. I do hope you were able to enjoy the live performance ... even though it wasn't the same characters or the same as the video.

Alayna, I'm glad you got to go to The Sound of Music musical. I wish I would have been here to go with you. I've always liked the Sound of Music, too. You keep them straight on the story, ok? I love you and have missed you and Ashlyn so much this week. See you Sunday!!
Michael and I enjoyed the show as well and did notice a few *changes* but all in all it was wonderful. And as you, look forward to seeing others. Glad that you all enjoyed as well!!
